Inevitably, much of the conference planning process happens behind the scenes, via listservs and emails, the conftool system, text messages, and video calls. To assist the community in understanding how the conference process works, we are pleased to provide a series of blog posts about the conference program process and its rationale.
Our goal with these posts is to provide information, highlight the logic of our process, and make transparent the intellectual work completed by members of the conference committees. It’s our hope that they will be useful to potential attendees who might have questions about the conference process as well as future hosts and program committees who might seek clarity on how and why DH2020 unfolded the way it did.
